About us and our mission
As a locally owned family business, our mission is to provide safe, high-quality, custom stone solutions with integrity, respect, and a commitment to our Kiwi clients and community - whether it's a family kitchen or a commercial space.
Pete started Livingstone Marble & Granite originally in 2006 in Pretoria, South-Africa and built the business from the ground up to a team of 10 but then decided to move to New Zealand with Anelda and the kids in 2017. After working at a local stone company in Rotorua for the first year in NZ, he registered Livingstone Benchtops in 2018 and the rest is history.
He loves Kiwi culture and working with Kiwis to improve and add value to their homes.

Why work with us
We are committed to bringing you peace of mind, and a pleasant, easy experience. Our chief aim is simple - to delight our customers by what we bring to the "table". Here are a few of many reasons why you can trust and let us help add value to your home or project:
Experience - 20 Years in the industry. We started back in 2006 and have done, and can do it all very well, with thousands of successful projects completed.
Accreditation - Gold standard(highest - level 3) accreditation from NZESAG and IMPAC for safe, correct working methods and standards.
Safety - We work with only zero and low silica materials to install a benchtop that is safe to you, and to ensure our staff's safety against silicosis. Dangerous high silica materials is something of the past.
Fast - A quick turnaround time, and even same day replacements for existing dated benchtops.
Value - We bring you the best value for money in line with your budget through material selection.
Equipment - We use only superior quality Italian machinery for safe, water-suppressed cutting, CNC machining/milling/polishing and further fabricating.
Craftmanship - Every benchtop is skillfully crafted to the highest standard with attention paid to every detail. This is what we pride ourselves in. If you are not happy, we are not happy.
Environment friendly - We recycle our water and have the facility to use rainwater collected from our roof. All waste is collected, mixed with cement and used for filling.
